Volunteer (vol un ter') – noun
One who enters into any service of their own free will, typically without monetary compensation. However, amply rewarded by the experience of devoting their time and efforts to furthering the community's goals, not to mention the ooohs and awwws from the public. Highly regarded by other elves, and often acquiring copious amounts of applause from chldren around the world, oh and Santa!
